Faculty Learning Management System

Student LMS accounts are created during the official faculty onboarding process.

You do not need to create an LMS account on your own.

After enrollment:

• Your LMS account is created by the LMS onboarding process

• Login credentials are sent to your UGC-registered email address

• You can sign in and access your enrolled courses

If you did not receive credentials

Please first check:

• Spam/Junk folder

• Correct UGC-registered email mailbox

• Whether onboarding for your intake has been completed

If still not received to your UGC-registered email, visit and meet the LMS administrator after 3:00 PM on weekdays. Please mention your:

• Full name

• Your AR Number

• UGC-registered email address

• Intake/batch

Password reset guidance

If you forgot your LMS password:

1. Open the FHSS LMS login page

2. Click “Forgotten your username or password?”

3. Enter your username or your Faculty email (Not your Personal email)

4. Follow the reset link sent to your faculty email

5. Set a new password and log in again

Policy note

Student access is limited to officially enrolled courses. Accounts inactive for more than 12 months may be automatically removed under LMS lifecycle policy.

Permanent and Temporary lecturers receive LMS access through filling this Google form.

Lecturer access includes:

• Assigned course teaching spaces

• Role-based permissions for course management

• Access aligned with department and semester allocations

For course access issues

Please contact your department LMS coordinator. The Department LMS coordinator has access to enrol students/lecturers to necessary courses and LMS administrator has no capability to do that for the department.

Policy note

Lecturer accounts are managed by faculty policy and operational controls. Accounts inactive for more than 12 months may be automatically removed by scheduled LMS processes.

Visiting lecturer LMS access is created only through an official departmental request.

Official request workflow

1. Visiting lecturer contacts the Department LMS Coordinator

2. Department LMS Coordinator prepares the access request

3. Request is sent through the Head of Department (HoD)

4. Official request is submitted to the LMS Administrator

5. LMS account is created and shared credentials via the email

Required details for request submission

A) If the visiting lecturer is an internal lecturer of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura:

• University Employee ID

• Title

• First name

• Last name

• Official SJP email address

B) If the visiting lecturer is an industry expert / external academic:

• Title

• First name

• Last name

• Email address

Operational note

Incomplete requests or missing required fields may delay processing.

Lifecycle note

Visiting lecturer accounts are role-based and course-limited.

Accounts inactive for more than 12 months may be automatically removed. If removed due to inactivity, a new official departmental request is required.
